Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create visual designs for web sites and applications.
• Develop web sites, using a combination of HTML and CSS.
• Develop user interfaces to web applications, using HTML, CSS, JSP, Javascript and Ajax.
• Develop information architecture, user interface design, interaction design, screen layouts/designs, and style guides.
• Responsible for overall look and feel, consistency, and usability
• Perform usability testing to evaluate and iterate designs
• Support implementation of web sites using Web Content Management tools.
• Research new technologies such as blogging, Web Content Management, PHP, Python.

Requirements:

Preferred candidate will have:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Graphics Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology or related field preferred.
• Experience with design, use, and usability of web sites and web enabled applications.
• Developing UI specifications (screen flow, interaction design, screen layout) & HTML/JavaScript.
• Proficient in design & rapid prototyping tools . Photoshop, Visio, HTML, PHP, Java, etc.
• Expert hands-on knowledge of HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Extensive knowledge of web design fundamentals including user-centered design process, information design, visual design, and industry UI standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical personnel.
• Experience with Flash, streaming media, PHP, SQL, XML, XSLT, Javascript, JSP, ASP.NET preferred.
• GPA.s of 3.5 or higher.
