Most recently, as Corporate Vice President for the Communications Sector at Microsoft, Maria Martinez lead the sales, marketing and development of Microsoft solutions and services for telecommunications, hosting, and media and entertainment companies. Under Martinez, the Communications Sector became a strategic industry partner to communications companies, providing innovative, software-based solutions and services that help organizations increase productivity and efficiency, create differentiated offerings, enhance the user experience, and, ultimately, drive new revenue streams.
A communications industry veteran, Martinez has more than 20 years of experience with telecommunications and software. She has managed businesses that transformed emerging technologies into market-leading commercial products.
