A popular feature of a computer connected to the internet is electronic mail or "email". Since there is a lot of work involved to have a properly functioning mail system for the entire school, there are some dedicated people working on this.

Since you probably already have a solix account, some of the recent developments in the school's email system might have swept right by you, but we are being treated to webmail since the end of last year. Click here to read a FAQ about the new mail system. You might want to do this even if you're not too interested, since pine, the mail program used so far on solix, is intended to be phased out after spring 2001.
