Meditation Introduction and Practice by Samani Charita prajna and Samani Unnata PragyaDate: Friday November 9th, 2007Time: 2:15 pm to 3:30 pm Where: ECS Preksha meditation is an ancient Jain meditation. It was revived and reformulated by His Holiness Acharya Mahapragya. Preksha means to see profoundly one’s own consciousness. Observation of the thoughts, emotions, actions, and inner state of being brings in awareness. This awareness is a science of living, a way of self-transformation. Life is blooming flower, but the stress withers it all. This problem of stress has its own relatives of disease and misery. The Preksha technique brings in the physical well being. This observation-based, self-exploratory journey to the common root of the mind and body dissolves mental impurity, resulting in a balanced mind full of love and compassion. Seeing is an art which opens up the inner channels of energy, unravels the mysterious potential of bliss and peace which lies at our very core. This is not a miracle but a scientific practice, transforming bio-chemicals and hormones and hence changes the emotions from negative into positive. The practitioner experiences inner bliss, Increases creativity and enhances confidence, explores the depth of inner divinity. Bio of Samani Charitra Prajna:Samani Charitra Prajna, a Jain nun.
