2008 FIU-ACM High School Programming Competition

RegistrationThe contest format is similar to that of ACM Intercollegiate Programming Contests (see http://icpc.baylor.edu). Sample problems can be found at that site. Each team of three students will attempt to solve six programming problems within three hours. The programs can be written in Java, Visual Basic (console mode), C, or C++. Registration fee: $20 per team, which includes a pizza lunch and t-shirt for each team member. There will be special training and information sessions for the coaches during the competition. Please read the competition rules. There will be two competition Divisions, A (advanced) and B (intermediate). Priority will be given to the first two teams registered by each participating school. If space is available, schools will be permitted to register a third team. A maximum of 2 teams from a single school may be entered in any one division. We have facilities to handle 30 competing teams total. Trophies will be given for First, Second, and Third place in each division. Each student on a winning team will receive an engraved medal.
