When? & Where?:
June 12, 2017 10:00 AM - June 16, 2017 4:00 PM, at PG6-102 & PG6-105
The Ultimate Software Academy at FIU is offering a really great workshop, taught by Ph.D. Student Greg Reis:
In this 5-day sequence, Greg Reis will teach you to assemble and program an autonomous robotic car, using the Arduino-based Elegoo UNO Project Smart Robot Car Kit. You will write code to help the robot avoid obstacles and navigate a maze.
- At least one semester of Java, C, Python, or C++ programming.
- Limited to 22 participants, where registration priority is determined by the date and time we receive your registration check.
- The $55 nonrefundable registration fee covers daily lunch, and parking.
Each pair of participants will be provided a robot kit to use only in class. Instead, we recommend you purchase your own kit on Amazon.com before the workshop begins so you can take your completed kit home when the workshop ends. Search for “Elegoo UNO Project Smart Robot Car Kit” ($69).
Register online at academy.cis.fiu.edu/byb, write a check payable to “FIU” and send it to the following address:
