Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) would like to cordially invite you to our Second General Meeting & Python Workshop.

At our Second General Meeting, we’ll discuss how you can become a UPE member, the benefits we provide, and updates on our programs and activities. This includes information on technical workshops, info sessions from companies, projects, hackathons, and more. We’ll also have tons of giveaways, including ShellHacks t-shirts and assorted items from sponsoring companies. Food and refreshments will be served as well.

Additionally, we’ll have a Python Workshop led by Dr. Trevor Cickovski, Professor at FIU’s School of Computing and Information Sciences. At this workshop, you’ll be able to learn Python – a high-level programming language used for scripting, web applications, artificial intelligence, and more. By following the workshop, you’ll learn how to code in Python and develop your own project using this language.

This workshop is open to all students; however, the content is geared toward those majoring in CS/IT/CE, or anyone interested in coding. Students must bring their own laptops in order to develop their projects individually. Due to the popularity of this workshop, we strongly encourage you to RSVP at the link above as space is limited.

This workshop is part of UPE’s Software & Hardware Development Program and is sponsored by FIU’s Honors College, StartUP FIU, Women in Computer Science, Society of Women Engineers, Theta Tau, and IEEE. If you have any questions, please feel free to send us an email or contact us through social media.

Have a great week!
