Rick L. Blazek

Associate Teaching Professor

Rick Blazek came to FIU after almost twenty years teaching at Robert Morris University Illinois. He holds an MA in Philosophy and MDiv in Theology as well as MS and Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science. Blazek worked as a computer consultant in Oil and Gas, Retail, and Construction Engineering for more than ten years both before and after gaining his Ph.D. His passion for teaching and desire to understand new technologies has to lead him to ongoing research in Database and Information security. Since joining FIU in 2004, Blazek has enjoyed teaching a variety of courses for the Knight Foundation School of Computer and Information Sciences at FIU at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
