Abstract

Enterprise applications are becoming increasingly complex and simple at the same time: they are exponentially complex in terms of their functionality while they are dramatically simple in terms of their deployment and operations due to the Cloud. There is an explosion in number of applications being developed these days that combine mobile and big data and execute on Cloud. Cloud platforms and applications are polyglot in nature empowering enterprise developers to pick the right tool for the job and enabling a quantum leap in productivity. In this talk, I will review the state-of-the-art in Polyglot Cloud platforms, describe the underlying trends and challenges, present our solutions, and discuss future directions.
