There are two tracks available in the upper division program for Computer Science. The Computer Science (CS) track should be followed by the student who intends to continue on to graduate study in computer science. The Software Design and Development (SDD) track may be followed by the student who intends to pursue a software engineering career.
Undergraduate
B.S. In Computer Science
There are two tracks available in the upper division program for B.S. in Computer Science. B.A. In Computer Science
The B.A in Computer Science (CS) is intended for students targeting a career in the computing field. The program provides a solid foundation in Computer Science blended with an interdisciplinary field of their choices such as Digital Media, Business, Economics and more and permits flexible elective courses to be taken outside of the discipline.
B.S. In Cybersecurity
Geared to train students for jobs in areas such as data security, systems security management and network threat analysis, learners in the program, which is part of FIU’s College of Engineering and Computing (CEC), will work on solutions to high tech 21st century problems such as how to safeguard devices, software and data from cyber threats as well as protect power grids from hackers.
