The standout moment? FIU’s 305 Hackathon, held this past March, attracted more than 120 in-person and virtual participants across 16 different academic tracks. A highlight was a blockchain workshop led by Cardano’s development team, where students explored smart contracts, cybersecurity validation, and Aiken—the blockchain’s core programming language. From hands-on coding to network infrastructure, the hackathon bridged cutting-edge technology with real-world learning.
