Dr. S.S. Iyengar, Distinguished University Professor in the Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences, has been inducted into the Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine of Florida (ASEMFL). A globally renowned scholar, Iyengar is widely recognized as a pioneer in sensor networks, data fusion, digital forensics, and artificial intelligence. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has authored more than 600 research papers and 30 books that have shaped fields from AI to cybersecurity, while mentoring more than 65 Ph.D. students who now hold leadership positions worldwide. His induction into ASEMFL recognizes not only his groundbreaking contributions but also his enduring legacy as a leader, educator, and mentor.
