Computer Science (CS)

A student in the Computer Science Undergraduate program has the choice of following one of three tracks, or the option of a CS minor.

• Computer Science (CS)
  This track should be followed by the student who intends to continue to graduate study in computer science.
  
  
• Computer Science (CS) 4+1 Program
  Accelerated Master in Science in Computer Science
  
  
• Software Design and Development (SDD) track
  This track may be followed by the student who intends to pursue a software engineering career.
  
  
• Minor in Computer Science (CS)
  This is for students who are majoring in another degree and wish to get a minor in Computer Science.

Information Technology (IT)

The School of Computing and Information Sciences also offers two Undergraduate Information Technology Programs.

• BS in Information Technology (IT) (as a single major)
  The BS in IT requires a minor in another academic discipline (Computer Science and Computer Engineering not accepted).
  
  
• BS in Information Technology (IT) - Software Major
  In addition to the broad understanding of information technology concepts, the student gains a theoretical understanding of computer science.
  
  
• Information Technology (IT) as a second major
  The BA in IT (as a second major) program is open to students who will be completing another Bachelor degree program or already have a Bachelor degree from an accredited institution.
  Computer Science and Computer Engineering are not accepted as the primary major at this time.
